We’ve been living in Seattle for a month now. We’ve been out and about seeing as much as we can, soaking up the city (which is why we’re just getting around to hanging photos). We are loving it up here, but we really miss everyone back home.

Since we’re rounding out a month in our new home, we thought it is an appropriate time to share a video we made of our journey from San Antonio to Seattle. We hope you like it.

Bobby Got A Job! Bentley, Bella and Paisley might be a little upset that Bobby will no longer be taking them on daily adventures—he got a 3 month contract at a global ad agency called Wunderman. Very exciting!

This past week has been cold and rainy. Really rainy. People kept saying, “It doesn’t rain like this here!” But in reality, it’s “normal” rain in San Antonio. So, I broke out the rainboots and umbrella—I’m so over the idea that real Seatlites don’t carry umbrellas.

Even though the week was grey and wet, the weekend was beyond gorgeous—sunny, blue skies, 70 degrees—so we took advantage while we can.

Saturday Bobby went on a photowalk along the shores of the Pugent Sound in Tacoma, WA. It was part of Scott Kelby’s World Wide Photo Walk, a global photo day. Here was his favorite image from that day.

Sunday we tried another church—no dice—we really miss The Park. A lot. Then, we went to BrickCon 2013 (a Lego convention) at the Seattle Center. It was super fun to see all the incredible things people make out of Legos.

A sample of Lego fun at BrickCon. Space Octopus attacks a Star Destroyer, a Steampunk Town, A huge Hogwarts Castle, a Lady Gaga concert and Rivendell.

We’ve decided that Sundays from here forth will now be Thai-day. For some random reason we always crave Thai food on Sundays, so we’re making it our official food of the day! We’ve found our favorite spot, called Tom Thai. It’s a tiny, kinda dirty, hole-in-the-wall place near the university and you will always find a line outside. It’s beyond amazing. Ya’ll should come visit so we can take you there 🙂
