French 75, the champagne cocktail that feels retro, glamorous, and perfect for any brunch or happy hour.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 lemon
- 1 1/2 oz gin (Hendrick’s is my favorite)
- 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 oz simple syrup
- 1 cup ice cubes
- 2 oz dry sparkling wine, such as brut Champagne, chilled
DIRECTIONS
STEP 1
Using zester slice lemon peel in a long, thin spiral.
STEP 2
In cocktail shaker, combine gin, lemon juice, simple syrup and ice. Shake vigorously for 20 seconds. Strain into Champagne flute and top with sparkling wine.
STEP 3
For garnish: curl lemon peel around finger to create twist. Cheers!
