Social media pal and fellow Nikon shooter Louie Preciado came to Seattle to hang out with  photographer friend Kimberly Scott. We had all met a few years back while working on a 48 Hour Film project in San Antonio.

I picked up Louie on a Saturday morning and we set off to hit as much Seattle photo fun as we could. First up, Discovery Park to get a picture of Mt. Rainer from across Elliot Bay.

From there we popped over to Kerry Park to get the icon Seattle skyline shot. Then we headed over to where all the crabbing boats dock on Interbay near Ballard. Louie is a big Deadliest Catch fan and it was cool to shoot these fascinating boats.

We grabbed a quick lunch at fish and chips lunch at Little Chinooks. With happy full bellies we headed over to the Fremont Troll, who was wearing his Santa hat.

We then stopped by Gas Works Park for another great view of the city and water. It was defiantly a jammed packed day of photography. It was fun to shoot with another Nikon shooter, in fact using the same camera, a D700. We got to share lens and it was cool to shoot with Louie’s 70-200mm zoom. Now I want one.
