This is the temperature displayed at the airport once I got to Minneapolis. Notice Tuesday’s snow flakes! I was pretty disappointed it never snowed.
While I was there, I snuck into the Target gift shop and bought some different versions of Bullseye, the Target Dog, dressed in costumes. The mermaid is my favorite.
We didn’t do anything on Halloween night, but I recycled my Lucy costume for the work day. I love to play dress up!
On the weekend, we explored the Queen Anne neighborhood. It’s like the Seattle version of San Antonio’s Alamo Heights, if Alamo Heights was built on the highest hill over looking the entire city. This historic neighborhood is really beautiful, and with all the leaves changing colors, it was a perfect time to explore this area.
We walked along Queen Anne Ave. to visit shops and have lunch. Bobby stopped to take a photo with a pile of leaves. It’s officially Fall up here!
This tree was so bright red that I had to stop and take a photo of it!
All around Queen Anne are these little tiny parks that have incredible views of the water and the city. This one is called Marshall Park.
This one is called Kerry Park. Pretty much any TV show or movie you see that shows an overview of the city is shot from Kerry Park.
Since Kerry Park is the quintessential place to take the iconic Seattle photo, Bobby somehow quickly became the official photographer for every group that was there.
This is Bhy Kracke Park. So now I really want to live on Queen Anne Hill—but only if I can have a magnificent view as the payoff to climbing the giant hill on foot! This weekend we had dinner with a friend we haven’t seen in 15 years, when we both lived in San Antonio in high school. Talk about a small, small world. It was so great to catch up. It feels a little more like home up here every time I meet another Texan.
In other news, we just booked our flight home for Christmas! See you soon friends, family…and Chuy’s
