The end of summer is the perfect time to throw together an easy-drinking wine cocktail. Perfect for your Labor Day party, the white wine sangria with peaches, nectarines, and strawberries, and the classic red wine sangria with apples, oranges and limes will be a hit with all your guests!

INGREDIENTS

1 bottle white Spanish table wine

1 cup strawberries, sliced

1 nectarine or peach, medium diced

1 lemon, sliced rounds, then quartered

1 lime, sliced rounds, then quartered

1/4 cup brandy

1/4 cup Cointreau
DIRECTIONS
STEP 1
Pour the wine, Cointreau, brandy and chopped fruit into a glass pitcher, carafe, or punch bowl and give it a stir. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. Time is a major ingredient in this recipe. It allows the natural sweetness of the fruit to blend into the wine. So, don’t be tempted to taste-test before it fully marinates!
STEP 2
When ready to serve, give the sangria a stir to make sure everything is mixed together. Add ice and a few pieces of the fruit to a glass, then fill with wine and top with a splash of sparkling water.
