To get a taste of San Diego, it’s do-able over a long weekend.
My List of Must See:
- Coronado Island (I would stay here if I go back again)
- San Diego Zoo (best in the country)
- Balboa Park (next to the zoo)
- Midway Museum (we visited on Memorial Day Weekend and there were festivities on board the Midway)
Great Eats:
- Cucina Urbana (check out my Yelp review)
- Seersucker
- Craft & Commerce (check out my Yelp review)
- C Level (water front restaurant)
- Leroy’s Kitchen + Lounge (on Coronado)
The city isn’t super walkable, but we stayed at one of the hotels along the Big Bay Shuttle route, so it easily got us a few places for $3 per day, but we still took taxis to the Zoo and to dinner.
