These days I’m loving the simplicity of a delish crockpot meal. These meatballs were easy to make, and got a big thumbs up from the hubby, who considers himself a meatball expert of sorts.

INGREDIENTS

  • Low moisture mozzarella cheese ball
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound hot Italian sausage
  • 1 jar of your favorite tomato sauce
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup chopped parsley

DIRECTIONS

STEP 1
Cut low moisture mozzarella cheese into 3/4 inch cubes cubes. Store in refrigerator while preparing the meat.

STEP 2
Mix together all ingredients in bowl by kneading together with your hands.

STEP 3
Roll about 24 golf ball sized meatballs. Squish mozzarella cube into the center and roll until it’s ball shaped again.

STEP 4
Pour a layer of tomato sauce to just cover the bottom of crockpot. Add meatballs and cover with rest of tomato sauce. Cook on high for 3 hours or until meat is no longer pink when cut into.
