Bobby and I desperately needed a relaxing beach vacation. We planned to visit Hawaii, but a hurricane started brewing so we changed the destination a day before departure. Cabo was the only beach destination that was easy to get to and wasn’t forecasted to rain.

We stayed in a swim-out room at Secrets Puerto Los Cabo all-inclusive resort in San Jose del Cabo (the quieter area of Cabo). The accommodations and level of service exceeded our expectations. We’ve never stayed at an all-inclusive before this, but from the reviews I read on TripAdvisor, Secrets has some of the best food you’ll find among these types of resorts.

We stayed at the resort the entire time with the exception of taking a guided, group snorkeling tour in Cabo San Lucas (where the majority of resorts are located). Since the waves are dangerously strong at the beach, this is one of the only spots in the area to swim or snorkel because it’s protected by rock formations, such as Land’s End.
