It’s a little non-traditional—if you’re from Philly, please don’t hate—this is my take on the famous Cheese Steak made into mini sliders.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 lb. top round steak, very thin cut and then sliced into thin very strips
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced into very thin strips
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced into very thin strips
- 1 yellow onion, sliced into very thin strips
- 6 slices Provolone cheese
- 1/4-1/2 cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese
- Worcestershire sauce
- Steak sauce
- mayo
- Brioche slider buns
DIRECTIONS
STEP 1
Place the meat in the freezer for a few minutes so it’s easier to slice into very thin strips. Meanwhile, slice the onions and bell peppers into thin strips and sauté in a large skillet.
STEP 2
Once vegetables are mostly done, push them to one side of the skillet and add the thin strips of meat to other side and season with salt and pepper.
STEP 3
Once the meat is finished cooking, mix with veggies and add Worcestershire and steak sauce. Add a couple slices of Provolone cheese and the Parmesan cheese, mix in and allow to melt. Then add the rest of the Provolone slices and melt.
STEP 4
Coat each half of bun with thin layer of mayo and top with cheese steak filling.
